79. Ides of November 2022: Sphynx
Phantasm IPA 7%
NO LONGER AVAILABLE

You might see them as freakish alienesque creatures, or maybe you know that they’re adorable, affectionate, sweater-wearing companions who are less likely to make you sneeze, but you probably didn’t know that hairless kitties originated right here in Toronto, in 1966, when Riyadh Bawa, a University of Toronto student, enlisted the help of a rare hairless cat named Prune in developing a breed of hairless partly-hypoallergenic cats called the Sphynx. As a tribute to these odd-but-lovable felines, we brewed this hazy IPA with Phantasm powder (extracted from Sauvignon grapes), delivering bold, fruit-forward flavours, supported by a tasty malt backbone and a pleasantly balanced bitter finish.
