Business Manager (AR/AP)

Reporting directly to our CFO, we embrace flexible work arrangements, however, this position is required to be onsite 3 days/week.

Who You Are:

A self-starter and team player. Someone who wants to be part of something special and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. You are detailed-oriented with excellent communication skills and exceptional computer skills, specifically with spreadsheets, downloading data and formatting the data for input into Quickbooks Online, and various Brewery Management Systems and Point of Sale Software applications (all web-based). Experience with eKOS, QuickBooks Online, Square, Shopify, Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes and other eCommerce platforms is a distinct advantage.

You are a problem-solver and multitasker who recognizes that working with a small business requires adapting to changes from one day to the next. You thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

Weekly Tasks Include, but are not limited to:

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE:
> Record keg deposits on a daily basis in our Brewery Management System (eKOS)

> Process credit cards and cheque deposits daily

> Record deposits in Quickbooks Online daily (for Restaurants, Bars, and associated Corporate Accounts) or weekly (for LCBO/Grocery and The Beer Store) and matching to associated invoice

> Communicate with customers to resolve disputes (under or overpayment) and or address questions relating to their invoices or monthly statements

> Monthly reconciliation of all Wholesale Accounts Receivable balances o Continual review of Wholesale Accounts Receivable to ensure days outstanding are kept to a minimum, and calling Wholesale customers for prompt payment Accounts Payable:

> Processing and ensuring accuracy of vendor invoices, credit card expenses, and employee expenses entered into Ekos/QBO

> Communicating with vendors to obtain information needed to ensure accurate and timely paymentsEnsuring vendor and employee expenses have received necessary approvals before processingAbility to focus on accurate data entry in a dynamic environment

> Strong attention to detail, enjoy data entry and commitment to accuracy

> Preparing Cheques, ACH and Wire Payments

> Organize and electronically file invoices and documents

PROCUREMENT:
> Source suppliers and negotiate product, price, quality and capacity requirements

> Complete and manage related purchase orders

> Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels

> Maintain price files ensuring compliance with contract terms

> Develop and maintain strong vendor relations

> Resolve vendor-related issues including but not limited to pricing, supply, quality, delivery, payments, and vendor liabilities

> Support new project initiatives by identifying suppliers, obtaining quotes, and evaluating the capabilities and capacities of potential vendors against the requirements of the project

> Assist with month-end and year-end close process

> Process Bank Account deposits and other cash transactions daily, this includes:

> Promptly (within 24 hours) record all deposits transactions in Quickbooks Online and cashflow sheetPerform other administrative, bookkeeping, and Special projects, as required


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a finance/analytical role
Qualifications: Post-secondary degree (business, accounting, or something related)
Computer Skills: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel / Mac OS Numbers, or any modern spreadsheeting application; advanced skills is a definite advantage
Teamwork: Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Problem Solving: Able to identify issues and opportunities and implement effective solutions. Highly detailed person who can adapt to changing priorities. Relevant experience in the alcohol beverage industry is a significant asset.
