TANYA TALAGA AND CANDY PALMATER TO DISCUSS THE BREAK WITH JAEL RICHARDSON AT OUR BEERS & BOOKS SEASON FINALE

For our final instalment of the introductory season of Beers and Books, (it resumes September 2017) we have a very exciting event. Katherena Vermette cannot join us, but in her place we are having a discussion of the book featuring Tanya Talaga and Candy Palmater.

Tanya is an award-winning journalist who focuses on indigenous issues and investigative reporting. She has been part of two teams that won Project of the Year at the National Newspaper Awards, and has been nominated for four Michener Awards for public service journalism

Candy defended The Break on CBCs Canada Reads, and is a comedian and broadcaster. She was the creator and writer of her own national TV show for APTNThe Candy Show, and hosted the daily interview series The Candy Palmater Show on CBC Radio One in the summer of 2016.
