Trade Marketing Manager (Full Time)

We also believe in making innovative & approachable beers that reflect the stories and culture of our great city. Our beers are available in the LCBO, Grocery, The Beer Store & some of the best bars & restaurants across Ontario.

You will be reporting to our GM and working along with the VP of Sales & to continue to deliver on the great momentum we have created.

Note: This role requires you to work from the brewery a minimum of 4 days / week.

Salary: $67,000 – $75,000

You’ll be working at the brewery – this could be in our offices or the taproom. You are detailed oriented with excellent management, communication and origination skills. You are a problem-solver and multi-tasker who recognizes that working with a small business requires adapting to changes from one day to the next. You thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. You like beer – you don’t have to love it, but you like it. And, yes, you will working on the Rush x Henderson brand!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy:

> Working with our Head of Marketing and Brand to find unique ways for Henderson beers to stand out and be disruptive
> Find the best ways to bring our portfolio to life On Premise and at retail
> Work with our Art Director on packaging and packaging requirements

Project Management:
> Prepare clear project kickoff briefs for all trade marketing projects
> Prepare presentation decks to support strategic planning and retailer presentations as needed
> Ensure that programs are executed in-time and on budget
Activations:
> Develop joint activation plans with our key accounts, and major customers 
> Work with the Sales team to create brand-activation guidelines and principles
> Deliver and execute activations, ensuring cooperation from all key stakeholders 
> Understand activation performance in the marketplace through a robust review process against an ROI framework to allow optimal investment vs execution return
Tools:
> Working with our various suppliers & partners you will help create best-in-class tools: tap handles, glassware, coasters, t-shirts, etc
> Working with Management (both Henderson & Rush) you will be responsible for helping create all unique Rush beer-related merchandise
> Sales sheets – all sales sheets for retail & on-premise
Brand:
> Ensure all Sales brand content is up to date and accurate
> Ensure ongoing and effective communication between Marketing and Sales. teams
Events:
> Working with our team you will help us decide which events to participate in (beer festivals, local markets, etc) as well as what larger partnerships to approach
> You will help create the look & feel for our events
> Create event sponsorship packages and lead the solicitation and securing of partnerships
Communication:
> Serve as a point of contact for multiple departments to ensure projects remain aligned and on schedule
> Communicate results and priorities weekly/monthly
> Manage the Sales and Marketing calendar
> Assist Sales team in coordinating Event Ambassadors as needed
> Represent the brewery at events as needed

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Qualifications:
> Trade marketing and budgeting experience is required
> Excellent organization, problem solving, and system management skills
> Creative, diligent, and self-starting
> Able to be adaptable in a changing environment
> Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
> Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others
> Able to maintain professionalism in all circumstances; responsible with alcohol
Suggested:
> CPG, shopper, and/or e-commerce experience
> Alcohol Beverage experience a plus
> Previous POS/merch project management experience also a big plus
Education & Experience:
> Must have at least 3 years of specific trade marketing experience
> Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or similarly related discipline
